Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Inventory Assistant support the effective monitoring and maintenance of the organization’s inventory levels. The successful candidate will assist in tracking stock movements, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with relevant departments to ensure inventory needs are met and stock levels are properly maintained.

Role Overview:    This role involves assisting in maintaining accurate records, coordinating stocks movements, and ensuring efficient inventory control processes.
 
Qualifications and Experience
Essentials:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in store keeping, inventory management, or supply chain management.
 
Skills & Knowledge
Essentials:
  1. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
  2. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
  3. Familiarity with education-specific accounting software.
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Ability to plan, prioritise, and respond to multiple requests while supporting the procurement process.
  6. Capacity to coordinate and guide downlines during necessary setups.
  7. Open-minded and innate will to learn and develop.
  8. Be committed to international-mindedness, equity, and sustainability.
  9. Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  10. Knowledge of relevant regulations in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management:
i. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
ii. Support the monitoring of stock movement and participate in regular stock counts to reconcile discrepancies.
2. Order Processing:
i. Assist with the processing and coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments.
ii. Support the generation and verification of purchase orders for stock replenishment
Collaborations:
i. Work closely with all teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
4. Quality Control:
i. Assist in conducting routine quality checks on received and stored inventory.
ii. Identify and report any issues or discrepancies in the inventory.
5. Space Optimization:
i. Support the organization and optimization of warehouse/storage areas.
ii. Assist in maintaining effective stock control and storage systems.
6. Documentation:
i. Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions and movements under supervision.
ii. Assist in preparing inventory reports, including stock levels, turnover, and stockouts.
7. Technology Utilization:
i. Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes.
ii. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the inventory management system.
8. Problem Resolution:
i. Assist in resolving inventory-related issues in a timely manner.
ii. Collaborate with relevant departments to prevent and mitigate stock shortages or excesses.
iii. Stay updated on relevant regulations and attend training sessions where appropriate.
