Cleaning and Laundry Supervisor

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cleaning and Laundry Supervisor to join our Operations team at Charterhouse Lagos Campus. The individual will oversee and coordinate cleaning and laundry services across the school, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation are consistently maintained to support the effective running of the school and a safe and welcoming learning environment.

Position:                 Cleaning and Laundry Supervisor
Reporting to:          Head of Operations
Position Type:        Full-Time, full year (some weekends and shift work required)
Role Overview:    Charterhouse Lagos is seeking a hands-on, detail-focused Cleaning and Laundry Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning and laundry operations across the campus, including academic buildings, boarding houses, staff accommodation, and public areas. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation, with a strong emphasis on Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance and safeguarding in a school environment.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
Experience supervising cleaning or laundry services.
Experience in a school, residential, hospitality, or similar environment.
Knowledge of hygiene standards and safe cleaning practices.
Desirable:
Experience in a boarding school or residential setting.
Basic HSE, COSHH or Health & Safety training.

Good organizational and time management skills.
Clear communication skills.
Practical problem-solving ability
Physically fit and able to move around a large campus
